This concept came to me after years of being praised for my beauty and what I do for others. After years of being on my own, I developed my own style and my own behaviors separate to how I was raised. When I eventually returned to the family that knew me as graceful and elegant, I no longer fit the image they adored and I was promptly rejected.
It felt like I had been drained of my use, the use that only people who care not for others indulge in.
